Engineer Tanks (Tuesday) Spring Class Series @ First United Methodist Church La Grange
We're back for round two of our battle-themed camp, and this time, we're rolling out the tanks! Join us as students venture into the realm of tank engineering, building a range of formidable, armored vehicles. Throughout the class series, they'll face thrilling challenges, engage in epic battles, and push their problem-solving abilities to the limit. This program is perfect for seasoned RoboThinkers looking for the next level of excitement, but newbies are also welcome– so buckle up and get ready for an unforgettable tank-building experience!
Topics Covered: Explores how to use mainboards, switches, IR sensors, gears, DC motors and axles, and concepts like why we use the pieces we do when building a battle robot, gear ratios, gear trains, catapult physics and more!

When: Weekly, Tuesdays, April 8 - May 27, 2025 (8 weeks)
Time: 5:30-7pm (1.5 hours)
Location: First United Methodist Church, 100 W Cossitt Ave, La Grange, IL 60525. Room 208.
Ages: 6-12 years old
Pick Up
If you have time, we highly suggest coming to class 15 minutes early to see what your student made, take photos and videos, and help the clean-up process.
Drink and Snack
You can send a water bottle with students - water only, please. The class schedule does not include a snack break.
AGREEMENTS AND POLICIES
ROBOTHINK PHOTO RELEASE AGREEMENT - You will be able to accept or deny this release during registration.
I acknowledge that while my child is attending this RoboThink program, he/she may be photographed by a still or video camera. I authorize RoboThink, LLC. to utilize my child’s photographic image without identification in its brochures and advertisements in any media, including RoboThink’s website. In giving my consent, I hereby release and hold harmless RoboThink and its agents from any and all responsibility or liability relating to the use of the photographs. I understand that neither my child nor I will receive compensation should any photograph authorized hereunder be used.
CANCELLATION POLICY
By registering, you agree to the Cancellation Policy. Cancellations received at least one week prior to the date of the first class will receive a full refund of the registration fee. Cancellations received after this date, but prior to the second class, will receive a refund, minus a $30 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations after the second class of the program. There are no refunds or make-ups for missed classes. If a class is cancelled due to weather or other events, the class will be rescheduled or refunds for each class canceled will be issued. Thank you for your understanding.
